Our stated goal is "Making Basketball Better in Vermont"

To accomplish this goal, these are some of the things we strive to accomplish:

Enroll all the high school coaches in the state
Publish a newsletter for the membership
Sponsor a clinic each year
Run the North/South Senior All Star game. An annual celebration of basketball
We present the following awards: The Dream Dozen (outstanding under classmen)
Recognize 1000 point scorers
Award coaches of the year in each class
Present the "Rawlings" award to any undefeated coach
Present a media award, an outstanding service award
Award "player of the year"
With the money raised by sales of Final Four tee shirts, we give player scholarships
Work with the VPA to address various basketball-related concerns
Publish weekly coaches poll of the top 5 teams in each division throughout the season
Provide support for the Vermont All-Star Challenge
(VT vs Western Massachusetts All Star Game)
Instituted a Coaches Hall of Fame - view

The VBCA has an Executive Board elected by the membership. They meet periodically to facilitate running the association. The board is listed in this web site.
